The customer's existing wood timbers were rotted after years of ongoing maintenance and sealing; they can also attract termites in some cases. Wood timber walls generally require resealing to prevent wood rot. The clients opted for masonry walls. There is no comparison between real stone walls and wood timbers when it comes to durability, longevity, ease of maintenance, and appearance.
