These images are from a job where we laid flagstone over the existing concrete steps and landing. The concrete had settled over the years, leaving the steps uneven and slanted. However, it was not necessary to pour new concrete. We parged the area to even out the steps and then went over the steps with stone. This made it look like a brand new entranceway. |

Photo 2 was taken upon completion of the stonework, prior to the final washdown. Once the mortar has cured on a job, we come back to perform a wash-down to remove cement film from the stone. The dusty appearance of the stone in Photo 2 is normal and to be expected prior to the wash-down. Depending on the weather conditions (temperatures in particular), we can usually perform the final washdown within 7-10 days. |
Photo 3 was taken after the final washdown. From start to finish, a job of this type typically takes 3-5 days (weather-permitting). Once the stonework is completed, you can walk on the area after 24 hours. |
